On Sunday, Sept. 14 -- 35 Holy Cross religious gathered at St. Peter's Church, NYC, to celebrate liturgy where six Holy Cross Brothers and Father Sorin stopped upon their arrival in the US in 1841.  Ironically, the first Holy Cross religious were also there on September 14.   At the end of Mass we dedicated a plaque to the event 162 years ago.
After Mass we went to Ground Zero -- 1 block from St. Peter's -- to pray for peace in our world, to pray for those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001and those who have been killed since then in Iraq and Afghanistan and to recall the memory of Father Frank Grogan who was aboard United 175 on 9/11/01.
